Soap Star's Near Murder Miss

'EastEnders' star Laila Morse could have been the victim of Dano Sonnex and Nigel Farmer, who allegedly killed two French students.

According to 34-year-old Farmer, his co-defendant Sonnex, 23, wanted to break into the actress's residence so as to rob "Mo Harris's" home.

Incidentally, on June 29, actress Morse had a houseguest who said that, about an hour before the murders occurred, she had been disturbed by an intruder who was demanding "Mo's signature".

Sixty-three-year-old Morse then apparently called the police half an hour before the attack on biochemistry students Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, both 23, who were assaulted at a south London bedsit.

Morse's houseguest, Sue Ann Blomfield, said in her witness statement: "At about 4.30 am I was woken up by a noise. Something made me go to a window.

"I saw a man. He had his hands on the window frame. He said 'is this Mo's house? I want her signature.'

"He seemed to lose his balance and I saw him climbing the fence of Maureen's garden. I told Maureen and she called the police."

Sonnex and Farmer are both denying murder, false imprisonment and arson as the trial continues.
