McFadden's ex arrested after 'doorstep row'

The mother of EastEnders star Steve McFadden's youngest child has been arrested after allegedly flying into a rage outside the actor's home.

According to The Sun, Dr Rachel Sidwell is accused of shouting abuse, pounding on McFadden's front door and damaging a moped parked on the driveway of his property in Highgate, North London.

It is thought that the soap star was not at home at the time of the alleged incident, but police were called by his son Matt.

Sidwell was reportedly questioned the following day because she had left the scene by the time officers arrived. She has now been bailed until November.

A Met Police spokesman said: "We can confirm police were called to a disturbance at Highgate at 9pm on Thursday 1st October.

"A woman in her early 40s was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after attending a North London police station by appointment the following day. Inquiries continue."

McFadden, who plays Walford's Phil Mitchell, welcomed a baby girl with Sidwell in June. The pair both have three other children from previous relationships.

Last month, reports revealed that the couple's romance had ended. Sidwell was later quoted as saying that McFadden "can't be trusted".
