EastEnders denies suicide plot

Contrary to reports, Walford's ginger cutie Bradley Branning will not take his own life, soap bosses have insisted.

A tabloid newspaper today claimed that lovely Bradders will throw himself off a building when he becomes a suspect in the murder of Archie Mitchell.

However, a spokeswoman for the soap has refuted the claim, saying: "We will not comment on Bradley's exit storyline other than to say he does not commit suicide."

In November, Charlie announced his decision to leave the BBC1 soap after four years playing Bradley.

EastEnders executive producer Diederick Santer said at the time: "Viewers will miss Charlie hugely and I can promise a big exit. I know he'll go on to great things."

Soap bosses promised that Bradley's exit would form part of the show's 25th anniversary celebrations, which will include a live episode on February 19, during which Archie's killer will be unmasked.
