All About Soap awards nods revealed

EastEnders and Coronation Street have received 10 nominations each at All About Soap magazine's Bubble awards.

Emmerdale has scored six nods, Hollyoaks four, and Australian soaps Neighbours and Home And Away have bagged one nomination each.

Voting opens on Tuesday (16.02.10) and closes on March 1 for the gongs, which are the first soap awards of the year.

Categories include I'm A Survivor, which honours the character who has been through the most drama, and the nominees are EastEnders' Stacey Slater and Ronnie Mitchell, Hollyoaks' Hannah Ashworth and Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas.

The Killer Secret category awards the deadliest plot twist, and features EastEnders' Archie Mitchell whodunnit, Lucas's murder of Owen in EastEnders, Natasha's killing of Mark in Emmerdale and Carla's return to Coronation Street to blackmail Tony.

Other categories are Bride And Doom, for the most action-packed wedding, Baby Drama, for the biggest baby shock, Smooth Criminal, for the best bad boy, Fatal Attraction, for the most scandalous couple, Femme Fatale, for the best bad girl, and Celeb Style, for the best-dressed star.

All About Soap editor Johnathan Hughes said: "Our awards are different in that they are a fun, quirky, slightly more tongue-in-cheek look at the biggest soap 'moments' of the year."

The results will be published in a future issue of the magazine.
