Perry Fenwick splits from wife

EastEnders Perry Fenwick has split from his wife of five years.

The actor who plays unlucky-in-love Billy Mitchell in the BBC One soap and former 'Coronation Street' actress Angela Lonsdale have decided to call time on their marriage, but friends insist the break-up is amicable.

One said: "They just ran out of love. They had a series of heart-to-hearts and decided to end it. No one else is involved. They are determined to stay friends"

The couple who lived together in North London were regarded to have one of the strongest marriages in showbiz and the split has shocked Perry's fellow 'EastEnders' stars.

One told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "No one can believe it as Perry is always talking about Angela in glowing terms."

Their spokesman confirmed: "Perry Fenwick and Angela Lonsdale have sadly separated after five years of marriage. They will not be making any further comment."

Perry, 48, proposed to 39-year-old Angela by writing in pebbles on a beach, but for years they only spent weekends together because of their hectic work schedules.
