Minty's EastEnders wedding shock

EastEnders Minty Peterson gets a shock when he sees girlfriend Heather Trott trying on her wedding dress.

The mechanic -played by actor Cliff Parisi returns home to see the mum-of-one modelling the dress she wore when they married two years ago.

While the pair recently rekindled their romance, laid-back Minty wasn't planning on tying the knot again anytime soon.

Cliff explained: "It's a bit of a shock for him after everything they've been through. It's not that he isn't committed to Heather, but I don't think he's expecting her to want to get married again so soon, given that they've only just got back together."

All is revealed when Heather explains she was planning to use her old gown to make a christening outfit for her baby son George.

However, the on-off couple's troubles don't end there.

Heather is forced to give Minty an ultimatum after he agrees to let new mum Sam Mitchell stay with him for a while as she struggles to get to grips with parenthood.

Cliff added to Inside Soap magazine: "She's obviously not too happy about the arrangement. It's no secret that Minty's always had a soft spot for Sam, and she has a knack of wrapping him round her little finger. He basically comes running every time she calls his name.

"It really is now or never. Minty confirms that he loves Heather and is here to stay but we'll just have to wait and see if he really means what he's saying."

IMHO I think Minty leaving Heather sends out the wrong message to people who are big-framed. Although neither girl gets her 'man' so to speak, Sams' cruel words to Heather about her appearance and future prospects of keeping one because of her looks is downright cruel. What about the beauty of the soul and the wholesome person that she is. Since TV influences the minds of the masses MK, I would've liked to have seen Minty do the right thing by Heather and be a father to Baby George (who could after all be his); therefore providing a role model. Some of us have accepted second best in life to find out that through growing in love it was the best choice and not second after all but a learning curve, for all that is shiny and goodlooking is not 'gold'.
