Michael French to exit EastEnders again

EastEnders star Michael French is set to leave the BBC soap in an upcoming storyline.

The actor returned to play David Wicks in autumn last year, but show bosses have confirmed to Digital Spy that the character will quit Albert Square again.

Michael originally took on the role between 1993 and 1996, briefly reappearing for screen mum Pat Evans 2012 death in the soap, but was then asked back for a longer run last year.

Apparently, Michael had only signed up to a short stint in EastEnders when he returned for Pat's exit, but ended up agreeing to extend his deal when Dominic Treadwell-Collins arrived as executive producer, with the plan always being for him to leave this year.

David's exit storyline is being kept a closely-guarded secret, but fans will wonder if it is related to his upcoming wedding to Carol Jackson as he is still hiding his passionate kiss with Nikki Spraggan which happened earlier this year.

To be honest I'm totally sickend by this story line too much tragedy and tears not everything has to be doom gloom you know! I have always been a loyal fan but lately I have been finding it hard to watch with this story about David's heart attack being the last straw i won't be watching if he dies and there's more doom and gloom!
